PA Disability Employment Summit (PADES) Planning

The PA Department of Welfare and The Arc of Luzerne County are co-presenting a comprehensive, progressive summit on employment of individuals with disabilities, October 4-6, 2012, in Hershey, PA. The PA Disability Employment Summit – PADES –  is organized in collaboration with  The Governor’s Cabinet & Advisory Committeee for People with Disabilities, AHEDD, PA Business Leadership Network, PA Office of Developmental Programs, and PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.

The focus of PADES is to bring together employers, related government agencies, service providers, and individuals with disabilities interested in becoming successfully employed, to discuss challenges, opportunities, case studies of programs of excellence, advancements in adaptive technology, supports, suggestions for systems improvements, and other important topics.

Summit organizers are currently accepting proposals for presentation on a variety of topics. Deadline for submission is Friday, July 20. All proposals must be submitted electronically. For full proposal requirements, click here.

Applications are also being accepted for exhibitors, advertisers and sponsors. Due to limited space, all applications will be considered on a first come first served basis. Download an application here.
